Become a Sponsor of "A Different Key" Film Screening!

When everyone is included and embraced - everyone wins.

Please help us deliver an important community event right here in Lexington.

The Lexington SEPAC/SEPTA (Special Education Parent Advisory Council, Special Education PTA) is excited to bring the film “In A Different Key” to the town of Lexington on March 31, 2022, kicking off April Autism Awareness Month.

The film delivers a powerful message regarding the role that community and inclusion has on the life of individuals with disabilities.  It tells the story of the first person diagnosed with Autism in the US who lived in a rural southern town.  The film trailer can be found at indifferentkeythemovie.com.

We will present the film on March 31st at Lexington High School, followed by a panel discussion.  The panel will discuss aspects of the film and community and inclusion in the current day.  The goal of the event is to reflect on our actions as a community, actions both big and small, and identify what we can do differently to ensure all individuals feel included.  (We will determine whether this will be an in person or virtual event as the date approaches).

This event is a FREE event.  The film is not yet released to the general public, and as such, we will incur substantial costs associated with the screening.  Our sponsors below have helped us offset a majority of the costs and any additional donations will further help but are not required.  To donate, please scroll down and enter your donation amount selecting "A Different Key" Sponsorship as the Donation Type.

Thank you for your consideration!
