In this presentation, Dr. Edward (Ned) Hallowell, practicing child and adult psychiatrist, founder of the Hallowell Center, and former instructor at Harvard Medical School, offers insight into the Childhood Face of ADHD and how ADHD and learning disabilities impact the student emotionally and socially. Because he and two of his children have ADHD themselves, he recognizes the importance not just of proper diagnosis and treatment but also the importance of developing the positive attributes most people with ADHD possess. He will provide an introduction to the world of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and explain what it feels like to have ADHD from a child’s perspective. Thank you to Indian Americans of Lexington for their generous donation to make this presentation possible.
