    Local parents and experts in the Allergies field, Dr. Aleena Banerji, Dr. Anna Wolfson, Dr. Michelle Conroy, and Dr. Paul Hesterberg will be presenting on the complex topic of food allergies:

    • What do I need to know about food allergies?
    • Should I have my child tested for food allergies?
    • Should I see an allergist for my symptoms?
    • How can I help my child manage with food allergies?
    • Will my child outgrow his/her food allergies? When will I know?
    • When and how should I use my Epi-Pen?
    • What should I know about the new food allergy treatments (oral immunotherapy)?

    RSVP encouraged but not necessary. This event is open to all to attend.

    Hosted by LexSEPTA, come meet therapists, recreational organizations, nonprofits, support groups, and other providers who serve families and children with special needs.

    Join us for a workshop designed to help parents understand the nature of stress and anxiety in childhood.  We will review the underlying causes of anxiety and how to differentiate between developmentally typical worries and clinically significant anxiety.  The workshop will address how parents can support the development of adaptive coping strategies and how to strengthen children’s resilience and optimism, with a focus on tips and tools to implement at home.

    Dr. Kramer is a pediatric psychologist who has been in private practice in Concord since 1996.  She offers a variety of services for preschoolers, children, adolescents, and their families including psychotherapy - with a focus on cognitive behavior therapy (CBT); consultation; and parent coaching, training and education.  Dr. Kramer enjoys consulting with families and coaching parents regarding how to best support children's growth and development. She has taught many parenting seminars for local schools and community groups. 
    Dr. Kramer received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from New York University.  As an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania she earned a B.A. in Psychology from the College of Arts and Sciences and a B.S.Econ from the Wharton School. Dr. Kramer is the mother of three children.

    Join LexSEPAC and the Special Education Director of Lexington Public Schools, Ellen Sugita, for a Special Education Update. This session will focus on the action plan following the November 2019 LexSEPAC parent survey results and an update on the Inclusion work, currently happening in the district through the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plan.

    The findings from the LexSEPAC Parent Survey will be presented publicly at a School Committee meeting in April, 2020. This session will conclude with a Q&A for parents based on the recommendations from the survey.
