Attorney Barbara Jackins will speak with us on the topic of legal planning for children with special needs including issues around guardianship and public benefits. Barbara is the mother of a special needs son who is now in his 30’s. She has written several books in support of people with disabilities including: Legal Planning for Special Needs in Massachusetts, Managing a Special Needs Trust: A Guide for Trustees, and Moving Out: A Family Guide to Residential Planning for Adults with Disabilities. Barbara has spent most of her legal career advocating for people with special needs and their families. Her office is in Lexington at 7 Hartwell Road.
